While spending time at our home base near Boston we decided to visit the tourist destination of Rockport, take some photos and eat some local chowder. Upon reviewing my photos and sketches I chose this scene to paint. I later learned that this is one of the most photographed and painted scenes in the area. It is even referred to as “Motif 1”.
